 About Portland APD and Dr Polich:

Laura Polich has been an audiologist since 1987. She is a clinical audiologist, and she has taught college-level classes in audiology and speech pathology.  She earned her first audiology degree from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1987. Dr. Polich received her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999. She taught the main class in  Auditory Processing Disorders at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas from 2004-2007.

Now relocated back to the Pacific Northwest and closer to relatives, Dr. Polich provides evaluations focused on APD, and counsels parents about remediation strategies. Dr. Polich  holds state Audiology licenses in both Oregon and Washington. She is certified nationally by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. 

Portland APD allows Dr. Polich to offer children and adults in southwest Washington and northwest Oregon excellent APD testing and follow-up. Her goal is to help families open the door to understanding auditory processing disorders and pass through to a resolution.
